What Are The Green Tea Extract Benefits To Our Health?
by Gordon Hall

What are the green tea extract benefits to human health? Is the research complete? Are there proven results? Here’s a look at the answers to those questions.What first began as a satisfying beverage, healthier than drinking coffee or sodas all day long, has now become a common component of diet aids, multi-nutritional supplements and even chewing gum. This is due largely to published reports containing the results of scientific studies.

It seems to increase fat oxidation and insulin sensitivity during exercise, which is why it is being promoted as a fat burner. It has cancer-preventative activity, may reduce the risk of heart disease, and appears to be beneficial in type II diabetes, the metabolic syndrome, Crohn’s disease, arthritis and a number of other health problems.

It has natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Because chronic inflammation and oxidation are two of the big causes of cellular aging, green tea extract benefits every cell of the human body and may extend your life-span.

Some would say that all sounds too good to be true, but we know what the causes of aging are. We also know that specific nutrients and extracts counter those processes. Whether or not we can live longer healthier lives depends on a variety of different things. Lifestyle, of course, plays a role, as does one’s diet. But, most health experts, nutritionists and naturopaths agree that multi-nutritional supplements can help.

They must be properly formulated and include different nutrients that are known to work together. A tablet with an enteric coating is the best method of delivery, because of the detrimental affect that stomach acid has on many nutrients. In foods, the fiber and other components protect the essential nutrients, somewhat. But, nutritional supplements, without an enteric coating have no protection. In other words, you cannot expect to see the green tea extract benefits, unless it makes it to your upper intestine, where it can be fully absorbed.

The best supplements are not found in discount stores and they are a bit more expensive than the multi-vitamins that you are probably taking every day, but they are well worth the expense. There is no doubt in my mind about that. I have experienced the benefit, myself, and so has the rest of my family. We get the green tea extract benefits and much more.

Generally speaking, we feel better. We rarely have colds or other viral infections. We have more energy. We sleep better. Our skin and hair looks healthier. And, I know that we are doing everything that we can to protect our long-term health.

The supplements that we take include antioxidants to fight free radical damage, anti-glycation agents, because glycation is just as dangerous as free radical damage, and anti-inflammatories to reduce the effect that foods and toxins have on our bodies. They also contain methylation agents, because methylation is needed to form various compounds necessary for continued good health. If you want the best value for your money, find a supplement that provides all of these things, as well as the green tea extract benefits. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, please take a look at my website now.

Gene Silencing May Increase Risk of Lung Cancer: Cancer treatment review

Gene Silencing May Increase Risk of Lung Cancer
by Peter Kent

Research recently published in an issue of the American Association for Cancer Research has found that chemical modification, also known as hypermethylation, of a single gene in the lung may increase the progression and severity of lung cancer in a patient diagnosed with the condition.The Science Daily news article reported that after smoking, a patient may develop “tobacco-mediated hypermethylation”.

Through the development of these findings, it becomes much easier for scientists to treat lung cancer by reversing the process of “silencing” the gene, which has been identified as MTHFR, which upon modification induces a stronger surge of lung cancer development.

The study also noted that through the consumption of such dangerous carcinogens, such as tobacco smoke and potentially asbestos fibers, there may be the development of genome damage, which can cause mutations among genes, and eventually silencing them through chemical modification, which in turn also will cause the increase of lung cancer progression, according to scientists.

Mesothelioma Lung Cancer

Mesothelioma cancer is what the National Library of Medicine has deemed a “cancer of the tissue” and it effects the mesothelium “tissue that lines the lungs, stomach, heart and other organs.” The National Cancer Institute (NCI) reported the following mesothelioma signs and symptoms including:

* shortness of breath

* pain in the chest

* accumulation of fluid in the chest

* weight loss

* abdominal pain

* sweling in abdomen

* bowel obstruction

* blood clotting

* fever

* anemia

Litigation Involving Mesothelioma Cases

Individuals who have suffered from a mesothelioma diagnosis are encouraged to utilize a free legal consultation from an experienced mesothelioma attorney. It may be a necessary step to develop a mesothelioma lawsuit.

Becoming involved in a mesothelioma lawsuit may provide compensation for a mesothelioma victim.

Also, it may be useful to develop a mesothelioma lawsuit as a monetary reward could be earned. It is common that individuals who have mesothelioma cancer require the administration of chemotherapy, which can often cost several thousand dollars each session.

To learn more about developing mesothelioma and asbestos litigation, visit the LegalView information portal on mesothelioma and get up-to-date treatment news as well as the latest jury verdicts and assistance on obtaining a mesothelioma lawyer.

Mesothelioma is often considered a fatal condition, which is why it is imperative that an individual know the details behind the condition.

Find Articles On Lung Cancer : cancer Treatment review 2008

Find Articles On Lung Cancer
by Bobbie McKee

Both my grandfather and my father-in-law are suffering from lung cancer. Since two valuable members of our family have the disease we decided to find articles on lung cancer to help us understand the condition better. One of the best resources for finding information about health issues is Web MD. This site offers tons of articles on lung cancer.
Three of these articles on lung cancer were extremely helpful to our family in dealing with the respiratory disease. These three pieces of journalism involve typical questions and concerns that many people face when discovering that they have this frightening disease. Web MD has many more articles about cancer as well but the five I discuss here were outstanding.
The first of the articles on lung cancer that we came across on Web MD was about dealing with the side effects of chemo therapy. One of our biggest concerns for our family members is their reaction to the powerful treatment for cancer that has such difficult effects on the body.
My grandfather complains that the treatment is worse than the disease. The information we discovered through the essay was extremely helpful in helping us understand and deal with the harsh side effects of chemo therapy. This was one of the most important articles on lung cancer we found.
Another great piece involved 10 questions that every patient who has the condition should ask his doctor. When you read articles on lung cancer you realize that you overlook so many questions when you visit your physician. This piece really helped us organize a list of concerns and inquiries for the doctors.
After reading the two articles on lung cancer we decided to do a little more research into the topic to see if there were cutting-edge treatments for the respiratory disease that afflicts so many individuals. We found an article about radiofrequency ablation or RFA. This treatment for cancer uses heat to treat early tumors.
The combined therapy essay provided us great information for this cutting edge treatment for cancer. The RFA approach uses heat to destroy tumors but they do have to be in the early stages of the condition for it to work effectively. Radiofrequency ablation is also used in combination with chemo therapy, not as an independent treatment.
The three articles on lung cancer that we found on Web MD were very useful in helping us gain an understanding of what to do for severe side effects of chemo therapy. We found a list of questions to ask the doctors and we discovered new combined therapy that is used to treat the disease.
There is so much more to learn. Fortunately, Web MD has many more articles on lung cancer for us to study.

Androgen Deprivation Therapy For Prostate Cancer Treatment : cancer provent cancer review

Androgen Deprivation Therapy For Prostate Cancer Treatment
by Bobbie McKee

During the old days, practice of Androgen Deprivation Therapy for Prostate Cancer Treatment is what scares many men. Losing a part of your genitalia, for a man to lose ones faculty for sex is too much for a cure that’s percentage driven.
The former practice, this Androgen Deprivation Therapy for Prostate Cancer Treatment is Orchiectomy or the surgical castration -a term that hardly requires definition. The science for this is that testosterone stimulates prostate cancer growth. Testosterone is the male androgen hormone essential for a boy’s development to manhood. It is responsible for many things characteristically man: baritone voice, deepening of chests, bulging of muscles, and growth of body hair among several things. And an enzyme that is secreted in the prostate gland converts this testosterone into a metabolite Dihydrotestosterone (abbreviated as DHT) which is a cancer stimulating cell.
And because the testicles produce the majority of the testosterone, the Androgen Deprivation Therapy for Prostate Cancer Treatment includes Orchiectomy or this surgical castration where the prostate cancer cells are deprived of testosterone thus, starving it to death. Of course, as I’ve mentioned it is percentage driven. Testosterone in majority is produces in the testicles, but other gonads do build testosterone, and one of them is the prostate itself.
Another method in castration is the Chemical Castration. It is done by making the pituitary gland over-stimulate the Leydig Cells, thus making the requirement for stimulation too high that it will have a reduced stimulated ability and wearing the cells out. Leydig Cells is primarily responsible for testosterone secretion. The effects of chemical castration include sexual dysfunction, among other things.
Today’s practice for Androgen Deprivation Therapy for Prostate Cancer Treatment is decidedly different, thank God. That means we men can keep what makes us men in the first place. The practice of today is blocking the switching of testosterone into DHT. By using enzymes like 5-AR inhibitor Finasteride or the more potent Dutasteride (Proscar and Avodart, respectively), the testosterone is prevented from turning into DHT. This is a more laudable solution to battling prostate cancer by Androgen Deprivation Therapy than chopping some part of your genitalia off.
Every physician differs in medical practice but that doesn’t mean you’d have to be the next castrated prostate cancer survivor. Try asking your doctor on the benefits of using anti androgen drugs or androgen receptor blockers for your Androgen Deprivation Therapy for prostate treatment. Believe me; you’d not want to have hot flushes and enlarging breast as a side effect to prostate cancer treatment.
